Autumn Gakshi’

Life is lighting up

A tea cup of afternoon,

Already passed the half-day.

Travail of life becomes an echo,

And makes the knee cold

In the autumn wind.

However,

The generosity of a cup of tea

Has the composure

That doesn't rush our agedness.

Like morning dew,

A time of fleeting

Honour and ascension,

Or anguish and suffering,

Cannot be scooped out

As the moon floating on our surface

Autumn,

Which is free from restrictions,

Becomes a ‘Gakshi’ and

Comes to my side and stays.

Words from Kim Hong-Ju

“My life, half a hundred years of life, has been grown half like autumn

My sentiment is being sad at the parting, calling it "Gakshi"-lady-, and letting it leave the matchless season,”

Through this poem, you might imagine her spending the loneliness of autumn, overcoming it and sublimating it into growth. And then, through the process, your inner height will also grow.

Currently, this ‘Thought D Foresight’ has been selling from KyoboBook, Aladdin, Interpark, and so on in Korea since 2019. If readers would like to know more information about this poem, they can find it from both outline and online.
